With over 25 years as an Animal Professional, Laura is skilled in animal training and care. She worked as a Senior Animal Trainer in the zoo industry for 20 years and worked with pets including conducting dog training for a major pet retailer for 11 years.

Laura's Proper Pets Training is dedicated to helping pet owners learn and understand how to properly communicate with their animals. We will focus on relationship-based training, utilizing positive reinforcement and gentle corrections to establish a clear language between you and your pets. By discussing why animals exhibit specific behaviors, together we can provide them with a clear understanding of what is acceptable or undesirable.
All obedience training and behavior modification requires ongoing training, management, consistency from all family members, and proper implementation of the training plan and techniques taught in order for pets to have long lasting success. Laura gives thorough instructions to help set you up to succeed!

What better person to walk your dog than an experienced animal trainer? Laura provides light training techniques if desired while taking your dog out for a stroll. A brief walk and discussion about your pet’s needs is required prior to booking.

Meet & Greets are a great opportunity for pet owners and pets to get to know Laura before booking a service. During this free visit, Laura will ask detailed questions about your pet(s) daily routine, care instructions, medications, etc. We go over all expectations of both owner and caregiver.

Laura is experienced with all species of animals including birds, reptiles, farm animals, and exotics. During your required Meet & Greet, we will go over all details so you will have peace of mind knowing home and animals will be cared for while you are away.Â
